 Eligibility

The teams are opened to homeschool children.  Homeschool is defined as schooling that is parent directed through the home or organizations that are non-public, non-accredited, and non-approved by the state of Indiana.  Taking dual credit courses, e.g. from Ivy Tech, is counted as homeschool education.

High School Eligibility: Children who are no older than 19 by October 26, 2024, have not graduated from high school by October 26, 2024, and are homeschooled are eligible for the high school team.  We have a boys varsity high school team and girls varsity high school team.  We may also have a mixed (boys and girls) junior varsity team.

Junior High Eligibility: The upper cut-off date for junior high is October 16, 2009.  If your child's birthday is before this cut-off date, he/she must play at the high school level.  Students must be home-schooled.

Elementary Eligibility: The upper cut-off date for U12 ("under 12") is October 16, 2012.  If your child's birthday is before this cut-off date, he/she must play at the junior high level.  Students must be homeschooled.

Children born AFTER 2015 are not eligible to play with HUSTL soccer, but we hope they can play with us in the future!

 2024 Game Schedule

The schedule will be developed in the spring of 2024.  Games are usually on Saturdays and sometimes on Monday and Thursday evenings.  Games start around the beginning of August and continue through the second weekend of October, which is the Indiana State Tournament.  Home games are held at the Indiana Veterans' Home.

The game schedule will be posted on the TeamReach app, under the group code "TipTornSoccer".

We Need Help from Parents to Make the Season Run Smoothly

The soccer fees cover payment to the game referees, uniforms, and equipment. Volunteer help from parents is necessary to keep the team running smoothly. We presently need parents to volunteer time for these tasks:

  • Team parents (for each team) who will promote team spirit
  • First-aid kit coordinator
  • Team photographer
  • Home game concessions coordinator
  • Take care of the team tent, i.e. set it up and take it down at away games
  • Organize end-of-the-season banquet

Please ask Dana Gottfried if you would like more information about one of these tasks, or if you would like to volunteer for one of these tasks (dgottfried@slcfworld.com).
